Privacy Policy
1. Content ScreenMini processes
Only after you start a recording or screenshot, ScreenMini captures the display, window, or region you select and any system audio or microphone source you explicitly enable. Processing occurs on your Mac.
2. Data stored locally
Language, recording preferences, save-location access bookmarks, recent recording information, and thumbnails are stored locally. Videos and screenshots are saved where you choose. Removing history preserves videos; files move only when you choose Move to Trash.
3. Permissions
Screen Recording permission captures selected content. Microphone permission is used only when microphone recording is enabled. The optional key overlay in the outside-store edition requires Accessibility permission and processes function keys and shortcuts only while enabled and recording; ordinary typing is not recorded. The Mac App Store edition does not include this feature. You can revoke permissions in macOS System Settings at any time.
4. Transfers, tracking, and third parties
ScreenMini does not send recordings, screenshots, audio, thumbnails, or key overlays to the developer. It uses no advertising or analytics SDKs and creates no user profile. If you share a file through another service, that service’s privacy policy applies. Apple manages macOS permission records and system diagnostics.
5. Retention and deletion
Settings and history remain on your Mac until you clear the relevant app data. You manage exported files; uninstalling the app does not necessarily delete saved videos or screenshots.
6. Children’s privacy
ScreenMini requires no account and does not knowingly collect personal information from children. Do not record personal or sensitive content that you are not authorized to capture.
7. Changes
We may update this policy when features or legal requirements change and will revise the effective date on this page.
